近日,智慧纳米机器人与纳米系统国际研究院(以下简称“我院”)师生积极投身复旦大学新工科建设,参与多部重要宣传片制作。他们以实力凝聚光影,生动展现复旦工科人服务国家战略的科技报国初心。不仅在实验室深耕前沿技术,更以影像为媒介,向社会和未来学子诠释智能机器人与先进制造领域新工科建设的核心价值与创新动能,树立了我院作为建设实践者的标杆形象。
“懂会”融合,躬身实践创未来
在复旦新工科建设宣传片中,我院执行院长梅永丰教授阐释了其对“新工科”的理解:“理科重'懂'(理论根基),工科重'会'(实践能力),二者融合、扎根应用、面向未来。”其内涵在于以深厚理论赋能实践创造,以前瞻视野引领“懂会结合”的创新实践。该理念不仅要求学生构筑复合知识体系、锤炼卓越实践能力,更要涵养直面重大挑战的担当、驾驭科技变革的前瞻思维。这与复旦新工科建设的目标也高度契合:通过前沿科学与工程实践深度融通,着力培育善解复杂问题、敢闯科技“无人区”、勇担国家战略使命的拔尖创新人才

毕业骊歌响起之际,我院毕业生宗旸、柯昕逸倾情出演复旦大学智能机器人与先进制造创新学院(以下简称“创新学院”)2025届毕业纪念片《日新》。影片以复旦校徽变迁为背景,贯穿“科学报国”与“融会创新”核心主题。首章回眸先贤初心;次章展示创新学院多学科合力破解国家发展瓶颈;终章以跨越时空的对话,聚焦心承宏志的毕业学子——他们将科技自主创新的报国担当,熔铸于投身国家战略与区域发展的征程,以创新动能焕新民族复兴的昂扬风貌。《日新》传递的“尊重科学、勇立潮头、日有所进”精神,正与我校工科实业报国传统交相辉映。

Mission on Shoulders: IIINN Faculty, Students Showcase Research Commitment Through Visual Storytelling
Recently, faculty and students of the International Institute for Intelligent Nanorobots and Nanosystems (IIINN) actively participated in Fudan University's New Engineering initiatives, contributing to the production of several key promotional videos. Harnessing their expertise to shape compelling visuals, they vividly demonstrate Fudan engineers' original aspiration to serve national strategies through science and technology. Beyond advancing cutting-edge research in laboratories, they use visual media to communicate the core value and innovative momentum of New Engineering in intelligent robotics and advanced manufacturing to society and prospective students. This positions IIINN as a leading practitioner in these development endeavors.
Integrating Theory with Practice: Shaping the Future Through Action
In Fudan’s New Engineering promotional video, Professor Mei Yongfeng, Executive Dean of IIINN, shares his understanding of New Engineering: Science emphasizes knowing (theoretical foundations), engineering emphasizes doing (practical capabilities). Integrating these, grounding them in application, and orienting towards the future. Its essence lies in empowering practical creation with profound theory while using a forward-looking vision to guide innovative practices that unite knowing and doing. This concept demands not only that students build comprehensive knowledge systems and hone exceptional practical skills but also cultivate the responsibility to tackle major challenges and a foresight to navigate technological transformations. This aligns perfectly with Fudan's New Engineering goals: by deeply integrating frontier science with engineering practice, it aims to cultivate top innovative talent adept at solving complex problems, willing to tackle technological 'uncharted territories,' and courageous enough to shoulder national strategic missions.
Camera as Messenger: Legacy and Responsibility in Vanguard of Innovation
As graduation songs filled the air, IIINN graduates Zong Yang and Ke Xinyi passionately starred in Vanguard of Innovation (日新), the 2025 graduation commemorative film for Fudan University’s School of Intelligent Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Innovation (referred to as the Innovation School). Using the evolution of the Fudan University emblem as a backdrop, the film weaves together the core themes of serving the nation through science and innovation through integration. The first chapter revisits the original aspirations of pioneering scholars; the second showcases the Innovation School's multidisciplinary efforts in resolving national development bottlenecks; the final chapter employs a dialogue across time and space, focusing on graduating students embracing grand ambitions – they fuse their commitment to technological self-reliance and serving the nation into journeys contributing to national strategies and regional development, revitalizing the vibrant spirit of national rejuvenation with innovative energy. The spirit of respecting science, braving the tide, and advancing daily conveyed in Vanguard of Innovation resonates profoundly with Fudan’s tradition of serving the nation through engineering excellence.
Screen Showcases Frontier: Outstanding Student Illustrates Vision of Innovation
In the Innovation School's enrollment promotional video, IIINN direct-entry Ph.D. candidate Zhang Ziyu appeared as an outstanding student representative, vividly presenting to prospective students the cutting-edge landscape of New Engineering talent development. When asked What is innovative research?, he shared insights from his research on Multifunctional Nanofilm Detectors: ingeniously utilizing advanced materials like vanadium dioxide, silicon, and graphene, and employing 3D self-scrolling architectural design, the project achieves high-precision integrated detection of multi-dimensional optical information. Zhang Ziyu's confident demeanor on screen epitomizes his solid research acumen and the spirit of innovation. It also serves as a dynamic testament to IIINN empowering New Engineering construction through technology to attract top students, vividly illustrating the Institute’s steadfast philosophy of practice-based education and advancing interdisciplinary integration.
On and Off Screen: Co-writing a Brilliant Chapter of New Engineering
From articulating New Engineering's national strategic mission on screen to spearheading cutting-edge exploration in labs, all faculty and students of the IIINN are translating their mission – from evangelists of a concept to conquerors of technological challenges – into action. Through pragmatic efforts, they embody the essence of Fudan’s New Engineering principle of Integrating knowledge, skill, and action, focusing on real-world application and frontier leadership. They are dedicated to forging milestones through breakthrough scientific achievements, laying the groundwork for high-level self-reliance and self-improvement, adding luster to Fudan, and building a solid foundation for the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist China.
