Symposium D-02 “Smart Materials and Micro/Nano-Robots”


There were 12 talks and over 230 participants joined in Symposium D-02 on May 29. More than 20 participants asked questions and discussed with the reporters. In the morning, there were 2 sessions containing 8 talks and over 125 participants joined in Symposium D-02. More than 12 participants asked questions and discussed with the reporters. In the afternoon, there was 1 session containing 4 talks and over 105 participants joined in Symposium D-02. More than 8 participants asked questions and discussed with the reporters.


Session I: Biomedical Applications of Micro and Nanorobots I

1. Prof. David Graciasfrom Johns Hopkins University gave a talk entitled Untethered Microgrippers for Drug Delivery and Surgery.


2. Prof. Qiang He from Harbin Institute of Technology gave a talk entitled Injectable Swimming Nanorobots for Biomedical Applications.


3. Prof. Xing Mafrom Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) gave a talk entitled Construction and Biomedical Applications of Micro/Nano-Machines.


4. Dr. Jinrun Liu from Fudan University gave a talk entitled Magnetically Propelled Soft Microrobot Navigating Through Constricted Microchannels.



Session II: Biomedical Applications of Micro and Nanorobots II

4. Dr. Yi Ouyang from Fudan University gave a talk entitled Photothermal Actuated Soft Robots with First-order Magnet Transition.

4. Yue Wu from Fudan University gave a talk entitled Versatile Nanomembrane Release and Rolling Origami Mediated by Graphene Substrate.
